ND-RAD Radar Distance / Level Sensor

What is the ND-RAD? The ND-RAD is a precision radar distance and level sensor with up to 20 m range, 1 mm resolution and ≤2 mm deviation. The narrow 8° beam and radar physics make it immune to vapour, foam, dust and temperature variation — conditions that defeat ultrasonic sensors. Ideal for generic ranging and proximity, level monitoring, water level monitoring and flood-warning systems connected to the yDoc ML-525 datalogger.

Applications

Where the ND-RAD is used

Generic ranging

High-precision distance measurement for industrial automation and proximity monitoring.

Tank & silo level

Process tank, silo and bulk storage level — reliable through vapour, foam and dust.

Water level monitoring

Long-term level monitoring of streams, reservoirs and stormwater systems.

Flood monitoring

Reference-grade level data for flood early-warning networks and bridge clearance monitoring.

Integration

Powered by the yDoc ML-525 datalogger

The ND-RAD connects directly to the yDoc ML-525 datalogger. The yDoc powers the sensor, schedules measurements, stores readings locally and transmits them to the Sensor-Online platform via 4G/LTE-M, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, satellite or Ethernet — with up to 10 years of battery life.
