What can I measure on a farm?
Soil moisture and temperature, weather, greenhouse climate, plant signals such as leaf temperature and sap flow, and water levels.
How far do the sensors reach?
LoRaWAN is built for long range and low power, so one gateway can cover a large area. The range depends on terrain and placement.
Can I get frost warnings?
Yes. Set alarm rules on temperature and receive alerts by e-mail, SMS, Telegram, webhook or MQTT.
Can I control irrigation?
Rules and dashboard widgets can send commands to compatible devices, such as a LoRaWAN relay controller.
Can I run my own LoRaWAN network?
Yes. Sensor-Online includes a LoRaWAN server, so you can use a private network on your own gateways, or connect to a public one.
Do the sensors need power cables?
No. Many are battery-powered, and some solar-powered, so they can be placed where you need them.
